Gimhae Airport to Haeundae, Seomyeon or Busan Station
Cheapest: the Busan-Gimhae Light Rail from the airport to Sasang, then subway line 2 east for Seomyeon and Haeundae. Tap a T-money card — the change at Sasang within 30 minutes is free; you pay only the higher fare.
The last light rail leaves the airport at 00:09, but the last line 2 train toward Haeundae is around 23:45, so a late arrival usually means a taxi.
By taxi the airport estimates about 45 minutes and ₩18,000 to Seomyeon, about 70 minutes and ₩25,000 to Haeundae. An airport limousine also runs to Haeundae — check the airport's public transport page for today's times and fare.
- Light rail from the airport to Sasang: ₩1,600 by card, ₩1,700 single ticket. Change to the subway within 30 minutes of tapping off and the transfer is free — you pay only the higher fare (₩1,800 if the subway leg is over 10 km, e.g. to Haeundae)
- The airport has one light-rail station (공항); ride to Sasang and change to subway line 2 for Seomyeon, Centum City and Haeundae
- Last light rail from the airport toward Sasang 00:09; the last line 2 train from Sasang toward Haeundae leaves around 23:45 (a little later toward Seomyeon) — after that, take a taxi
- The airport's own estimate for a regular taxi: Seomyeon about 45 min and ₩18,000, Haeundae about 70 min and ₩25,000; deluxe taxis cost more
- An airport limousine bus also runs to Haeundae — check today's times and fare on Gimhae Airport's public transport page. Bus and subway transfer discounts do not apply to it
Busan subway, Donghae line and buses — fares and how transfers work
Busan's subway has two zones: ₩1,600 by card for rides up to 10 km and ₩1,800 for longer ones such as Haeundae to Nampo. City buses are ₩1,550 by card. One T-money card covers both, and changes within 30 minutes are free up to 2 times — just tap off the bus so it counts.
Line 2 strings the tourist spots together (Seomyeon, Centum City, Haeundae, Jangsan); line 1 covers Busan Station and Jagalchi/Nampo. For Songjeong and Gijang take the Donghae line from Centum/Bexco.
- Subway by card ₩1,600 (up to 10 km) / ₩1,800 (over 10 km); single tickets ₩100 more. City bus ₩1,550 by card, ₩1,700 cash
- Tap off the bus. Within 30 minutes you can change up to 2 times by card — subway, city bus, village bus, light rail and the Donghae line — paying only the difference if the next ride costs more. The same bus route and the airport limousine do not count; the Donghae line adds a distance charge
- Line 2 is the tourist line: Seomyeon ↔ Centum City ↔ Haeundae ↔ Jangsan. Line 1: Busan Station ↔ Nampo/Jagalchi ↔ Seomyeon. Donghae line: Bexco/Centum ↔ Songjeong (beach train) ↔ Gijang
